I didn't set out to be in four industries. I set out to fix problems I kept running into, and each fix turned into a company. Staffing came from needing good people and not being able to find them. Financial services came from watching consumers get buried by fine print. Software came from watching the same paralegal answer the same “what's the status of my case?” question forty times a day.

Send It By Text

I founded Send It By Text in 2018 because e-signature was built for boardrooms and our customers live on their phones. It's a consumer-facing document signing and business texting platform, built as an API. A retainer or settlement agreement goes out by text and email at the same time, and the customer signs with a finger tap in about thirty seconds. No signer accounts, no login screens. We also handle texting for the industries carriers like to block (collections, debt settlement, consumer law), with 10DLC registration and compliant routing done for you. Eight years in, that's more than 10 million documents signed for 4,000+ organizations, at 99.999% uptime.

Power Admin AI

Power Admin AI is the software side of the group. It's an AI client management layer for law firms: one AI that knows what every client said across phone, email, SMS and documents, sits above the firm's case management system (Litify, Filevine, Clio, Salesforce, whatever they run), and handles the routine 80% of interactions. Status questions, document confirmations, callbacks, contact updates. It starts in draft mode with a person approving every reply, and the firm decides, task by task, when it's earned the right to send on its own. It is deliberately not legal AI. No motions, no case law, no legal advice. Operations and client experience only.

Broadstaff

Broadstaff is the staffing company I co-founded in 2015. It recruits and project-staffs the people who build digital infrastructure: wireless, fiber broadband, data centers, IT, energy and EV charging. Certified woman- and veteran-owned, Inc. 5000, and the recruiters came out of the industries they hire for, which is why clients like Verizon, Ericsson, Crown Castle and American Tower keep calling. Same principle as the software: build a system that finds the right person the first time, then run it at scale.

Change is the only constant

I've been through several economic cycles and a few outright calamities, from the 2000 dot com bust to the 2008 recession to COVID-19. Every one of them ended businesses I knew. Every one of them also created openings for the operators who accepted the new reality early and adjusted. I'm a firm believer that the only constant is change, and that the job of a leader is to be the calmest person in the room while everyone else figures that out.

Up in the air

When I'm not running a company I'm usually flying one. I hold an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and fly a Cessna Citation 525. Aviation is the best management training I've ever had: checklists, briefings, and the discipline to make decisions before you're forced to. Most of what I know about running a business calmly, I learned at flight level 410.
